In 1989, Richard Banks founded Banks & Associates, P.C., a St. Louis based law firm with a concentration in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Attorney Banks has negotiated one of the largest settlements of a wrongful death case in the State of Missouri, over $12.2 million dollars. 

Banks & Associates has successfully handled many multimillion dollar cases, including a $1.5 million dollar medical malpractice case against a major St. Louis area hospital and a $1.2 million dollar negligence claim against a national trucking company. The firm recently obtained a verdict against the local transit authority for $7.7 million dollars on behalf of a brain damaged child.  In 2005, Attorney Larry Fields, licensed to practice in Washington, DC, joined the firm, of counsel, and Registered Nurse, Tina Wright, was added to the staff.
